Background

Born and raised in Chicago, IL, I first developed interest in Psychology during my senior year in high school, upon graduation I frequently traveled to California; honestly I fell in love with the warmer climate, and the landscape was absolutely beautiful and so very captivating that I decided in the late eighties to make it my permanent home.  Over the years I have obtained a myriad of personal and professional experiences. I have worked in Business Management, owned/operated a small project studio along with delving into Human Resources and Training and Development. My objective then was predominately focused on: improving the overall quality of work life, working with diverse populations, creating equal opportunities, and assisting others with the goal of maintaining non-discriminative practices.

I have always maintained a strong sense of community, believed in people and strived diligently to make a difference. I subscribe to the idea that people are all connected and have a general responsibility to help one another when possible. Such core beliefs and actions continue to guide and improve my focus daily. I believe that these strong and powerful foundations created a dynamic pathway to my true passion of becoming a Psychotherapist.  Today I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who is not only dedicated to strengthening interpersonal relationships within individuals and families, but also extremely motivated to providing necessary resource linkage and consultation. I want to consistently work closely with local and national organizations to improve the overall vision of mental health, to hopefully increase individual personal and professional success.

I think, sometimes the moment of discovery starts from within (i.e., for the individual, family, group or community), and being open to that moment can strengthen and develop our present and future!
